Stephan - Kirchenmaus - Church Mouse

Gestatten, mein Name ist Stephan. Ich bin die kleine Kirchenmaus der Stephanskirche in Bickenbach an der Bergstraße. Dort wohne ich schon ein paar Jahre und kenne jede Ecke. Am schönsten ist es, wenn einer der Organisten an der Orgel übt, zumindest meistens. Wenn Tina spielt, schleiche ich mich immer auf die Orgelempore, um der Musik ganz nahe zu sein und streiche ihr um die Beine. Das findet Tina so toll, dass sie auf die Orgelbank klettert und anfängt zu „singen und zu tanzen“. Also singen kann sie nicht so schön wie Orgel spielen. Das hört sich ziemlich schrill an.

Jetzt hat sie erst einmal Zeit in Ruhe zu üben und ich mache mich auf den Weg, um die Welt zu erkunden. Alle Kontinente möchte ich besuchen und dabei andere Gotteshäuser (Kirchen, Synagogen, Moscheen, Tempel, Stupas, . . .) kennenlernen. Bitte nehmt mich mit auf Eure Reise. Zeigt mir die Welt und macht dort ein Bild von mir.

Excuse me, my name is Stephan. I'm the little church mouse. I've lived there a few years in Bickenbach / Bergstraße (Germany) and I know every corner of this beautiful little church, called Stephanskirche. The most beautiful thing is when one of the organist’s practices on the organ, at least most of the time. When Tina is playing, I always sneak up to the organ gallery to be very close to the music and stroke its legs. Tina likes it so much that she jumps immediately on the organ bench and starts to "sing and dance". She can't sing as well as she can play an organ. That sounds shrill.

Now she has time to practise in peace and I am on my way to explore the world. I would like to visit all continents and get to know other places of worship (churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, stupas, ...). Please take me with you on your journey. Show me the world and make a picture of me there.
