Current Goal

I started my travels near the Thornden Park Herb Garden in Syracuse, NY. I'd love to visit Jerusalem someday while out on my lavender travels!

About This Item

Lavender, also known in ancient times as nard or spikenard, is said to be one of the herbs used in the ancient temple to prepare the holy essence. It is also mentioned in the romantic Song of Solomon, and was used in the beautiful annointing in Bethany referred to in John 12:3. The Lavender Traveler would love to visit some of those places.
