This trackable has the modest goal to circulate more than five years and to be moved by at least 25 cachers. That is a rate of five drops per year for five years. As of 30-Apr-20 it had survived for 2.0 years and had been moved by 13 cachers.
No permission is needed to leave the U.S. While in the U.S., please drop it in a Premium Member only OR a rural cache near a busy trail or road. Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event where there is no security. Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items. Otherwise, take the trackable anywhere you wish. No permission is needed to leave the U.S.
Trackable photos are appreciated and will be re-posted here.
Birch Aquarium at Scripps is the public outreach center for Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego. It features more than 3,000 animals representing 380 species. The hilltop site provides views of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography campus and the Pacific Ocean.
There is a Hall of Fishes that features more than 60 tanks of Pacific fishes and invertebrates. There is also a sandy bottomed outside tank based on the sea floor of La Jolla. This tank features various sharks and rays, including leopard sharks and pacific angelsharks. The Tide-Pool Plaza features three living tide pools where visitors can touch and learn about tide-pool animals. Windows in the habitats provide up-close views of starfish, hermit crabs, sea cucumbers, lobsters, and other animals local to San Diego's tide pools. This was a highlight of our trip to San Diego in the spring of 2017.
