About This Item

SnowWolf Geocoin - Front

Don't keep this coin - it is not a trade item!

This is a copy of my SnowWolf geocoin that was lost or stolen. The original coin was sent out to travel, but went missing. It has been missing for well over a year, so I made this copy coin to travel in its place. Hopefully, the replacement coin will last longer and travel more than the original did.

My kids and I are eager to see where this coin will travel. Take it to snow, ice, freezers... anywhere it is COLD!

Log it out of the cache you found it in, then place it in another cache and log it in there. I would like as many cachers as possible to be able to see and enjoy this coin.

Take pictures of the coin at cold locations and post the pictures here if you can. Thanks!

Blue skies and happy caching!

Well, it's pretty tough to get a good picture of this shiny coin that really does it justice, but here are my attempts...

The replacement SnowWolf geocoin went on a little adventure with me today before being released back into the wild to travel. It's sort of a tradition with me and my travel bugs and geocoins. We headed down to Lumberton Mississippi and took a flight in an airplane. Someone opened the door of the airplane at 14,500 feet, so we jumped out just for the fun of it. This geocoin and I made three skydives today out of the drop zone's Super Twin Otter jump plane. The coin stayed safe (sort-of) in my pocket during the jumps. We hopped out of the plane at 14,500 feet, enjoyed over a minute of freefall before deploying the 'chute around 3,000 feet and then had a 5-minute parachute ride back to a soft landing at the drop zone. Repacked the parachute and went again (and again). The thermometer in the truck read 100 degrees this afternoon. It was way too hot, so I switched to geocaching with the air conditioning in the Explorer blasting.

Now this geocoin has experienced the beauty, thrill, and joy of flight and knows why the birds sing.

Blue skies and happy caching!

  • The replacement SnowWolf getting ready to jump. SnowWolf geocoin, along with other geocoins and an alligator travel bug on my skydive rig before the first jump of the day.
  • Model Citizen and SnowWolf after jump number one. Back on the ground safe and sound. Wanna go again?
  • The aftermath of the first jump. What a mess!! Now it's time to straighten this parachute out, pack it up and go for another skydive!!
  • The drop zone's Super Otter jump plane. Gold Coast Skydivers, Lumberton, Mississippi.
