I absolutely love baseball! Can’t wait for the season to start in April to come see a game. Was in the area around the stadium. Who is your favorite team?
🇺🇸⚾️🤠
The Frisco RoughRiders (often shortened to 'Riders) are a Minor League Baseball team of the Texas League and the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Based in Frisco, Texas, the team is named after the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment during the Spanish–American War, headed by future American President Theodore Roosevelt, nicknamed "The Rough Riders" by the American press.

Here is an African-American cemetery that was started after a little girl was killed by a bear in 1856. 🪦

This was a fun find in a hole in a nearby tree. There is a limb that is sticking out that is attached to a pill bottle. Have you seen tombstones that look like a piece of wood? In 1890 Joseph Cullen Root founded Woodmen of the World, a fraternal benefit organization, the purpose of which was to make life insurance affordable to everyone. From 1890 until 1900 the policy included a tombstone. 🪦

This is one of the strangest gravesites I have visited. In the middle of this industrial park that is surrounded by warehouses is a small graveyard named Ford Cemetery. The oldest marker is of Mariah Trayler who died in 1858. Glad to see these old graveyards being protected. -JMW ∆X 🪦

The Texas White House is the LBJ Ranch House, the home of President Lyndon B. Johnson and his wife, Lady Bird. Leaders from around the world visited the Johnsons here, and during the Johnson Administration it became known as the Texas White House. President Johnson was the first President to create a functioning White House away from Washington. In 1972 the Johnsons donated the Texas White House to the National Park Service and the American people. 🏡
