before heading to the new river gorge canyon ridge visitor's center, we stopped and grabbed this guard rail find and also spotted where c and I are going tomorrow to meet up for the bridge walk! (we left the visitor's center with two happy boys - both now junior park rangers. ...something fun & educational to do in the rain without getting wet)

cavin was ALL OVER this cache! he quickly found all stages to this (except the 2nd, which was too high above his head to see - almost too much so for me, but I found it, lol) and he worked the puzzle to get the log. :) such a proud mommy moment. :)

On a stormy morning. We were hoping to be at the outdoor water park, but the lightning and thunder kept threatening our plan. We stopped for this cache to try to let the storm pass. (Because it's always safe to cache when thunder's rumbling a few miles away, right?) Again, C had log in hand quickly.
