About This Item

SpanDino Paleo Silver ying yang

--Cretaceous began 145mya and ended 65mya ; Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) actually did not evolve until the Cretaceous period. 96mya, North American tyrannosaurs were still pretty small (about 6ft long and 170lb). Somehow, in a short 15-million-year span, “That’s very quick,” they increased in mass by over 100 times.
At this 15my time span during the Cretaceous period, the tyrannosaurs quickly evolved into apex predators that ruled unchallenged in the northern continents, until an asteroid strike (perhaps in combination with volcanic activity) ended their reign.

--Jurassic began 201mya ; The latest evidence suggests giant carnivorous creatures really did roam the planet before the Cretaceous period. During the late Jurassic period, at a time when Asia and North America were connected to each other, the first tyrannosaurs evolved in Asia continent before crossing over into the North America continent.  These Tyrannosaurs meat-eating animal roaming a landscape otherwise dominated by a variety of herbivorous, omnivorous and much smaller carnivorous dinosaurs.
Kayentapus ambrokholohal dates back to the early Jurassic, is part of the same group of huge dinosaurs called ‘megatherapods’ which included T-Rex.

--Triassic began 251mya ;  At the beginning of the Triassic Period, the land masses of the world were still bound together into the vast supercontinent known as Pangea. Pangea began to break apart in the Middle Triassic, forming Gondwana (South America, Africa, India, Antarctica, and Australia) in the south and Laurasia (North America and Eurasia) in the north. The movement of the two resulting supercontinents was caused by sea floor spreading at the midocean ridge lying at the bottom of the Tethys Sea, the body of water between Gondwana and Laurasia. While Pangea was breaking apart, mountains were forming on the west coast of North America by subduction of the ocean plates beneath the continental plates. Throughout the Middle to Upper Triassic, mountain-forming continued along the coast extending from Alaska to Chile. As mountains were forming in the Americas, North Africa was being split from Europe by the spreading rift. This division of the continents advanced further westward, eventually splitting eastern North America from North Africa.

Jasmer Completed (today is July20/2019) == Apollo 11, The Eagle has landed (July20/1969)
~~~50y ago today, July20/1969 , "Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."
On Feb28/2019 I visited
Rocket Park Virtual Hidden : 2018-05-13
0145p ; Write note ; I am at the Saturn warehouse. I collect all the green boxes info. still have yet to figure out what they mean.
20190312 0102p ; Found it ; finally got time and sit down to review my notes and get the answer.
Geocache Description:
Inside the building at Rocket Park is one of three Saturn V rockets on display in the world. This particular Saturn V is the only one comprised of all flight-certified hardware and would have been used to launch astronauts to land on the moon. The rocket is laying on its side and has been separated into the stages that it would jettison as it used up the fuel inside each section.
On 20 July 1969, the Eagle module from Apollo 11 landed at Tranquility Base.
At the moment the spacecraft landed, Apollo 11 commander Armstrong said: "Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."
Hours later, at 21:56 CT (0356 GMT), Neil Armstrong made history by becoming the first person to walk on the moon.
...as he first stepped onto the moon's surface, he uttered the historic phrase: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
Armstrong was joined by his crewmates Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. All three were born in 1930, and although Aldrin and Collins are still alive, Armstrong died in 2012 at the age of 82.
Nasa marked the anniversary by streaming footage of the launch online, giving a new generation a chance to see the historic moment that was watched by half a billion people 50 years ago.
