It traveled with me for a while as a personal coin - do not keep this coin, and please place it in another cache soon!!!

Since this coin fell off the map at an event for quite a while, please try not to leave it at any more events, or if you must, ensure someone else picks it up and logs it!  Otherwise, the last person listed as having this coin in their possession is going to get flooded with email from me enquiring about my coin!

About This Item

Greetings from Afghanistan!!!

Sent to me by a fellow geocacher when I was serving in Afghanistan. Of the coins I received Afghanistan, this is the only one I've had to buy. It stayed with me as one of my personal talismans when I was in country, and is staying with me as a personal geocoin until I find a proper place to part with it.

11 November 2008 - I figured that after reaching a milestone at Veterans War Memorial cache in Stillwater, MN, it was time to finally part with this coin and to start using another coin as a personal geocoin.

Retrieving. I agree that this is a special coin. I know who I'm going to hand it off to, and it will be treated and placed by them with care and respect.
This coin has seen some of Virginia, and apparently every square foot of Minnesota, so now it can head out for other parts of the U.S. when I go for my annual Christmas family visits.

It think it is so cool to retrieve a coin that has 31,000+ miles on it including time in Afghanistan. Thank you for sharing it with us after all the places it has been.

I am also sincerely grateful to those who serve our country so that we get to enjoy the freedom and blessing that we too often take for granted. I think about you guys a lot and what you go through overseas. Thank you 15Tango, thank you.
