Current Goal

The challenge of this bug is for cachers to help him travel around, and to get him into strange and unusual situations. Don't forget to post pictures!

About This Item

This bug was once a beloved childhood toy called Omnibot. When I was a kid in the late 70's - early 80's, this was a really technologically advanced toy. I recently tried to refurbish it for my daughter, with zero success. The next best thing I could think of was a travel bug. Keep in mind, this is a HUGE travel bug (see pictures below). In some situations it may be best to leave him near the cache, rather than in it. If you do this, make sure to hide him a bit, so that he doesn't give away the cache location. This would be a good bug to trade at cache events, etc. Have fun with him.

It looked so lonesome under that tree with the cache container that we just had to take him home with us.

We decided to go back and get this guy and take him for a trip....so that he can see some other parts of the world.

I took CacheBot 9000 to Edmonton, Alberta last summer and now find him again while traveling from Edmonton to Missoula. I'll take him back there and let him branch out again.

Wow - easily the largest bug we have ever seen. This one should never go missing through someone forgetting that they have it in their bag for awhile! We had to leave it here since we will never find a cache again large enough to hold it.

Oops! Forgot to log an old discovery, thanks to non paperless caching, in Superbigenormous Cache.
