This is a picture of Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) boots referred as "High Browns" and part of the RCMP uniform. Generally, High Browns are worn during parades, ceremonies and special events but some members choose the wear them on duties periodically (Canada Day, Remembrance Day). It takes about 30 coats of polish to get them to this level which is generally a "basic" standard. Many members apply more than just 30 coats. I have seen some High Brown so polished that you can see you reflection in them. We take great pride in the RCMP, our uniform, the values we stand behind and protecting Candians as well as assisting countries abroad.
