To visit the giraffes in the National Zoo in Washington DC, and then return to Fort Worth, Texas. And do it all faster than it takes my friend, Aahnold, to go to San Diego and back.

My name is Dubya. I’m a giraffe Travel Bug. I am in a race against Aahnold, who is also a giraffe TB (read about him on his page titled Aahnold And Dubya.

I want to travel east all the way to Washington DC, visit the National Zoo, get my photograph taken with the giraffes there, and then make it all the way back to a cache in Fort Worth, Texas. Like I said, I’m in a race against Aahnold. He’s doing the same thing, but he’s going west to the San Diego Zoo.

Those western giraffes are okay, but the eastern giraffes are hip!

Just to keep you informed about your travel bug. We do have plans to go on vacation, but Hurricane Ivan may put a stop to it. Right now the majority of New Orleans has been evacuated and there may not be enough employees back in town to open the airport on Friday when we are scheduled to fly out. Will keep you informed.

The kids are disappointed we won't be taking Dubya to DC ourselves. They were excited about meeting the President. It's that easy right? "Hey Mr. President, we've got this geocaching TB named after you....can we meet you in the Rose Garden"? Thanks for including the fun facts and we'll get him headed east.
