The Gr. 5R class at St. Thomas Aquinas in Spruce Grove is learning Canadian geography. The mission of GR.5 2018-19 LEARNS CANADIAN GEOGRAPHY is to travel across CANADA. We're hoping that it gets to all ten provinces and three territories. If we're really lucky, it will get to the country's capital, each of the provinces and territories, the four Great Lakes in Canada, and the three oceans on our borders. We'd sure be excited to see a picture of other places we study in school like: the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, Hudson Bay, James Bay, Georgia Strait and Confederation Bridge in the Maritimes and more. Please keep it moving to exciting places in Canada. We'll learn Canadian Geography as it travels.
The students are extremely excited about this project. Help them to learn about Canada by taking lots of pictures and helping them see some of Canada's many vistas. Have fun!
So far, it's been to these provinces:
- British Columbia (got there November 19/19 - reached a NEW province on my b-day!)
- Alberta
- Saskatchewan
- Manitoba
- Ontario
- Quebec
- Prince Edward Island
- Nova Scotia
So far, it's been to these major bodies of water:
- Lake Superior
- Lake Huron
- Lake Ontario
- Atlantic Ocean
- James Bay/Hudson Bay
- Strait of Georgia
- Pacific Ocean
So far, it's been to these capital cities:
- Edmonton
- Winnipeg
- Ottawa
- Charlottetown
- Halifax
It even went on a side trip to Tel Aviv, Israel. WOW! When it came bacak to Canada, it arrived in Ontario.
We're looking forward to it getting to the rest of Canada! Thanks for your help!

Picked this up from Daniel Point. I'll let it travel around to a few more GC's and then drop it off again, probably in the Vancouver area.
