Sometimes you many wonder, what has been the Evolution of Geocaching? It was way back on May 2, 2000 that the U.S. Government discontinued its use of Selective Availability in order to make GPS more responsive to civil and commercial users worldwide. Twenty-four satellites around the globe processed their new orders, and instantly the accuracy of GPS technology improved tenfold. 

This big change, that allowed the game of Geocaching to be born, was known for some reason as the "Blue Switch". Nothing celebrates this big switch and the evolution of geocaching quite like this cool coin!

Please note that this geocoin was not released to be a part of your personal collection.  It was released to travel many miles and bring many smiles.
