5 years ago, my dad and I went on a 150 mile backpacking trip from Lake Tahoe to Yosemite along the Pacific Crest Trail, and I remember meeting tons of PCT hikers heading north then. I recall thinking how crazy it was that they’d hiked all the way here from Mexico, and that maybe even I could do the whole thing one day, too.

5 years later, here I am! I started my northbound thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail on May 11th, and it’s been such a wonderful (and challenging time) already. I’ve been geocaching along the way to keep me in high spirits and to have tons of fun. Looks like this was one of the stops!
