TB 'Pieter on tour' is released in our first geocache, in honour of Pieter Fransiscus van der Kam.
Born in Delft in 1906, Pieter van der Kam was active in the resistance during the Second World War. He produced the Delft edition of 'De Waarheid', an illegal magazine. Because of these activities he was arrested. He was executed on the Waalsdorpervlake on 24 February 1943, at the age of 36. He never had the opportunity to see the world.
We hope that this Travel Bug will get that opportunity and that he will be able to visit many places.
