This trackable was released as a part of the Magic: The Gathering, Ixalan promotion in 2017. In the magical spirit of the promotion, the mission of the trackable is to explore the Celtic people's magical mytholgy and history. There are 7 Celtic Nations:
Cymru (Wales)
Kernow (Cornwall)
Breizh (Brittany)
Alba (Scotland)
Eire (Ireland)
Ellen Vannin (The Isle of Man)
Galiza (Galicia)
A minority language, Galician is spoken in Galicia but it is a mixture of Portugese and Spanish rather than a member of the celtic language family. Galicia is stilla Celtic Nation due to the ethnic and cultural similarities between Galicians and other celtic peoples

The aim of this trackable is to visit and explore all seven of the Celtic Nations, for geocachers to learn more about the minority languages spoken natively in these areas and about the rich, vibrant cultures the Celtic Nations all have. The trackable is named Carreg Myrddin after a famous Welsh wizard known as Myrddin Ddewin or Merlin in English. He is a character from the ancient Welsh story of Brenin Arthur or King Arthur. Carreg is the Welsh word for stone, so the name literally translates to Merlin's Stone. So please enjoy yourselves, learn a bit and pob lwc i chi gyd! (good luck to you all!)
