Bejing Observatory Geocoin with the observatory depicted on the front with a blue border (have also seen red ones), and the Equatorial Armilla (which is located at the Observatory) depicted on the rear of the coin. Built in 1673, the equatorial armilla was used primarily for measuring true solar time as well as right ascension difference and declination of celestial bodies. Designed by Ferdinand Verbiest.
