About This Item

Thrill Seeker, Adventurer, Entrerpreneur, Computer Whiz, Gear Head

Dale packed a lot of adventures into his life. If there was a new sport, he was first in line, If he got bored he'd go out to the garage to invent his own sport. Like t he time he built a hovercraft out of a lawn mower, or attached a chainsaw motor to a skateboard, or creating his first hang glider from bed sheets and duct tape. He even built a custom down hill skateboard with a parachute breaking system that sent him flying 60 mph through an intersection without the skateboard!
He also enjoyed a quiet life of downhill skiing in Austria, cross country skiing in Utah, scuba diving Belize, Rolling his VW Bug in the school parking lot, Riding ATVs in Glamis, Rock climbing Joshua Tree, roller blading Venice Beach, Mountain biking, Road biking. motorcycle riding, Hiking naked, Backpacking Yosemite, white water rafting, Blowing up 3 d ifferent camping stoves, Flying an Ultra light, Buying a $3000.00 outboard for a $200.00 boat ( Dam that was a fast boat) Waterskiing, Kneeboarding, Getting run over by his own boat, Thats a long story. Skurfing, Surfing and Jet skiing. Of course there was the time he jumped off a 1500 foot cliff forgeting to clip into his hang glider. He just climbed out of the tree, duct taped the kite back together and jumped off again.
His life wasn't all sport though. He always set aside some time for
Parties and Rock and Roll. He also had his hobbies. Photography, Video, remote control planes, model rockets ,Astronomy, RC cars, Stunt kites
and his favorite hobby, buying stuff!
Dale was a gadget freak If it had batteries he wanted it. If it was a device, tool or toy he needed it! Like the the first walkman type stereo, the first cordless blender. If it was AC/DC,Beta VCR, CD Hi FI, UHF, FM,Dolby had LEDs, LCDs and buttons or remote he'd buy it! He even had a computer controlled Etac navigation system in his van years before the invention of the GPS. He also managed to turn his passion for gadgets into a successful computer business. and of course he got to be one of the few people on the planet to use the internet years before there was a World Wide Web!
Dale would love the geocaching game and its only appopriate that his spirit will travel the world in reality and virtual reality! Please take his Travel Bug and tool on an adventure to another stash location.
If you ever feel lazy and want to stay home for the weekend,
take a moment to ponder Dale's f avorite slogan and philosophy...
"Come on you can sleep when you die!"

Sounds like Dale was a great guy. I don't know if we can live up to his example, but we'll certainly help him to keep trekkin'.
