Say Goodbye to Australia. Last time I departed from Melbourne Airport, I didn’t imagine it would be another 2.5 years until I could return. A lot has changed in that time. Fingers crossed it won’t be that long until I can get home again. With a heavy heart, it’s time to go and take you home. I wonder how many travel bugs have done the long haul to Australia and back with the same person after being refound years later? I think we flew Cathay last time. It’s Singapore Airlines today. ✈️

Today you headed to South Melbourne for a walk along the beach and some potato cakes. 28 Celsius in Melbourne today. A lady let her dog crap in the water right in front of me and pretended not to notice. When I told her to clean it up, she screamed abuse at me and finished with saying the dog was allowed to crap on the beach because ‘It’s F-ing Good Friday’. I’m a confirmed atheist so wasn’t aware of this unusual Easter religious custom. 💩

Celebrating my friend’s 50th by going on a hike. We should have done something hard but we spent too long catching up so decided on an easy walk along Darebin Creek to LaTrobe University. Finished the evening with an Indonesian feast. 🎂

I had an invite for some caching with ConnieandRick which was too good to pass up. We wandered around Melbourne trying to do some normal caches, a chocolate themed multi, some labs, and some Virtuals. Enjoyed the artwork in AC/DC lane and there is an excellent pisco sour bar nearby. 🎸

Due to a ridiculous puzzle cache in Melbourne where the checker went green for the solved coords but the actual coords are in little writing further down the checker page, we ended up in Parwan. Who does such an evil thing???! Luckily, it wasn’t too far out of our way and there was another cache plus an impressive dirt bike course nearby. 🏍
