Current Goal

We are hoping this Iditarod Trail themed Travel Bug will travel to Alaska and end up at either the Iditarod Trail Headquarters in Wasilla, Alaska or a school in a village along the Iditarod Trail. We hope the students in that school will contact us and share stories with us about their school life and their local environments. We are tracking the travel bug's progress on a map in our classroom, so please move it along as quickly as possible. Photographs of it moving along on its adventure would be greatly appreciated.

The Last Great Race! - Team 2

This Travel Bug belongs to the third grade students of Carpenter Year Round Elementary School in Lake Orion, Michigan. We are dedicated followers and supporters of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska. This travel bug will allow us to tie together our interests in geocaching and The Last Great Race!

Strange to find you in Roots in anchorage when you are logged into a cache clear up near denali. seems maybe mtboy has lost track of where he left this one....found on a lil workout hike up toward mchugh peak. will move toward the iditarod trail headquarters this weekend...........or maybe take you there myself!!!

I wanted to take this bug, but, I didn't because I thought it had reached it's destination. You may want to issue it another mission, if you want to keep it moving. Otherwise, people will think it has accomplished it's mission. It's a great bug. Thanks for sharing!
