A lovely location but not many other Koi around. We will try to find a more fishy location.

A brilliant location to watch and hear the waterfall and to dream of other fish.

Koi Chan was getting bored waiting for the salmon to leap. Also, as it was getting cold in Ribblesdale s/he thought about snowboarding. So we brought Koi Chan to Wales where there was more snow.

  • Enjoying the weather. Koi Chan thinking about snowboarding in Wales before being dropped back by the water.

Surprisingly, for one so fond of water, koi-Chan was looking distinctly grubby in Embsay Reservoir so s/he [how does one tell with fish?] appreciated a bath and is now back near the lovely waters of Stainforth Foss where, in Spring, the salmon leap.

Worried about the cunning of the Skipton Anglers' Association, I felt that I should rescue Koi-Chan from Embsay Reservoir before they hooked him. I shall place him in a safer stretch of water as soon as possible!

  • Embsay Reservoir There is a fishing concession on the reservoir but I think Koi-chan will be alright.
  • Sheep Some near neighbours at Embsay. I'm not a sheep expert but the one on the left looks like a Swaledale.

There might be plenty of water at Brontë but there's only so much culture one fish can take. How can anyone with a three-second memory be expected to make sense of Wuthering Heights? I'll try to find a suitably wet location.

Thanks
