About This Item

In Canada, we sell Girl Guide cookies as a fundraiser: chocolate and vanilla cookies in the spring, and mint cookies at Christmas. Vickie Vanilla (TB18X61) and Chelsea Chocolate (TB18RHV) are racing each other around the world. In 2008, Edmonton Area sold over 8300 cases of cookies with 12 boxes per case, that's 100,000 boxes of sandwich cookies. If they met the goal, as Edmonton Area Commissioner, I said I'd dye my hair blue. Well, they did it--and I had quite the look at the Edmonton Area Year-end Banquet. Thank heavens, it washes out. At $4.00 a box, that's $400,000 and that's just Edmonton Area in Alberta. There are 14 areas in Alberta and ten provinces in Canada. That's a LOT of cookies.
