Montana "Monty" Moose

1. Reach the town of Corvallis Montana and meet cousins Ken and Leslie.
2. Visit as many states as possible on the way. If possible, don't move me through more than one state at a time. (Monty is trying to beat our count of 12 states-see below)
3. Collect pictures of landmarks and tourist attractions. Whether it's the Grand Canyon or a giant roadside dinosaur, Monty wants to see them all. Or take a picture of Monty with something that represents your hometown or state.

The story of Montana "Monty" Moose.
Several years ago, our cousins, Ken and Leslie, moved from Pennsylvania to Montana. Although we were sorry to see them go, and we miss having them around, almost as soon as we heard they were leaving, we all began having the same thought. We kissed and hugged and shed the obligatory tear when we said goodbye. Then, when they were safely out of sight, we looked at each other and gave voice to what we had all been thinking for the last few months...

That summer 5 of us packed up our Cherokee and headed out on a cross country adventure. Luckily, we hadn't discovered geocaching yet, or we may never have made it all the way to Montana. We had a wonderful trip. We visited lots of places on the way and had a great visit with our cousins. We saw many wild animals on our trip; bears, antelope, elk. But one animal kept eluding us. My wife was determined to see a moose. Finally, on a trip up Willow Mtn., we saw one. Ever since then she has been collecting moose-a-phernalia. That is how Monty came into our family. Now, Monty has heard all of the stories of our trip out west and all of the places we visited on the way, including the part about seeing a "real" moose. Since he's only seen the view from a craft store shelf and an office desk, he made us promise to take him along on our next visit. Well, that was all before gas prices went through the roof. We told Monty that if he really wanted to see the country and meet Ken and Leslie, he would be better off going on his own with the help of geocachers. We told him about the dark and lonely places he might have to endure, but he says that it can't be as bad as being packed in a box with 100 other plastic moose. So, here we are sending our Moose ambassador on a trip to Montana. We passed through 12 different states on our way to Montana and back, Monty thinks he can double that at least. Here are some of the places we visited on our trip. Cedar Point, OH - Sears Tower in Chicago - the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD - Wall Drug, SD - Mount Rushmore (it was fogged in when we were there, would love a picture of Monty at the monument). Yellowstone park - Bannack, MT - Glacier park - we saw a giant buffalo, a giant cow, a giant dinosaur, and the worlds largest metal sculpture.
Monty would love to see any of these or any other place you think is interesting. If you think it's worth a stop, I'm sure Monty will too.
