David Brinkerhoff

This travel bug is in memory of New York State Trooper David Brinkerhoff who died in the line of duty April 25, 2007, near Albany, NY. David was a graduate of Hamburg High School in Hamburg, NY and an all round very nice guy. He was a friend to all and a genuinely caring and compassionate person who dedicated his life to helping others. This travel bug was launched to honor Trooper Brinkerhoff in our Big Hearted Brinkerhoff cache in Hamburg, NY on a small walking path called the Heart Trail. This special travel bug has a goal of spreading random acts of kindness. Please perform your own random act of kindness before logging this TB online. We would love to hear all of your stories of good will!! Because of course, we know that geocachers are big hearted as well!!!!! Spread kindness to others and honor the memory of David Brinkerhoff. Found the bug at Fallen Heroes cache. Spent the day with my mother and family where we spent a few hours touring the Montezuma Nature Preserve.

We had always driven by Montezuma many times at 65 mph on the Thruway, but until today, never stopped to enjoy the beauty.

Found in Scout's Honor and stopped later to help a stranded motorist. This TB will be making his way further in a few days when I find another large cache to place it in. Picked this one up specifically because it was a memorial for a fallen Trooper. One of my best childhood friends is a VA State Trooper, and so I thought of him as I read the story attached to this one.
