MikeAndJuli's Grand Lake Campout Tee Shirt

This trackable can be found in two places - an extra large framed tee shirt and on a tag with a resin proxy of the tee shirt.  Please note in your log whether you saw the traveling trackable or the large framed shirt.

Tag & Proxy Mission: To travel from cache to cache - collecting pictures along the way.  It would also be cool to see more awesome geocaching events around the world!

Framed Tee Shirt Award for MikeAndJuli

MikeAndJuli have been involved with Colorado's coolest geocaching event since it began in 2013 - The Grand Lake Geocaching Campout.  On the fifth year, This bright orange tee shirt was used at the logbook which attendees signed.  In Christmas 2018 imyy4u2 presented this tee shirt in a beautiful frame that states 'To MikeandJuli - For your continued support and dedication to the success of The Grand Lake Campout' and a trackable number.  Imyy4u2 also gave MikeAndJuli a trackable tag with the same code and a thick resin photo proxy of the tee shirt.  Thanks!

MikeAndJuli's yearly history with The Grand Lake Campout

2014: The idea of a yearly Camping event is presented to the Geocaching Colorado board.  They decide that this first year they will use a beautiful group campground in Grand Lake.  Imyy4u2 organizes and plans much of the event, but MikeAndJuli were not able to attend due to work schedules. However, they assisted in some of the planning, and Mike programmed and placed a Wherigo geocache in the area to be published on the same weekend as the campout.

2015: Grand Lake was such a perfect and beautiful place for the Campout Event that Geocaching Colorado decided to host a campout event in the same location - however they only reserved one half of the group site due to low attendance the year prior.  That half quickly filled up, and the other half was already booked by another group.  MikeAndJuli posted alternate camping locations and decided to stay at an alternate site so campers could still have a representative nearby, even if they weren't staying in the group site.  MikeAndJuli also started a competitive satellite event this year called The Amazing Geocache Race, including prizes, activities, and temporary geocache placements all throughout the area.

2016: As the Gand Lake Geocaching Campout was easily becoming an annual tradition for Geocaching Colorado, MikeAndJuli wanted to make sure the event was a growing success.  They continued The Amazing Geocache Race satelite event into a second year, and this year they stayed at the campground on a tent site.  This year Mike was also President of the Geocaching Colorado Board of Directors, and organized a lot of the meeting times for GCCO to plan and fund the Campout.

2017: This was the first year MikeAndJuli had AndKaylee, and they brought her to the campout!  Imyy4u2 was gracious enough to help split the cost of a nearby cabin - so this was also the first year the MikeAndJuli "glamped".  MikeAndJuli replaced the competitive Amazing Geocache Race with a more relaxed scavenger hunt satelite event, designed to get the attendees to tour the beautiful town and nearby areas.  The event was mostly a success, except for some raffle ticket confusion.  Attendees expressed that they enjoyed being able to participate in an activity where they didn't feel rushed and could enjoy their surroundings.  

2018: The fifth year of The Grand Lake Geocaching Campout!  This was the first year that the event wasn't under Geocaching Colorado (GCCO Sponsored the campsite, but all other portions of the event were handled and funded by "The Campout Committee").  MikeAndJuli enjoyed a large roll in the campout committee, and helped many of the planning stages.  They also helped start the campout website (campout.rocks), and planned another relxed Scavenger Hunt Satelite event.  This year they attended the event in a pop-up camper (provided and shared with imyy4u2).  This was the year the big orange tee shirt was used as a logbook (and later framed into THIS trackable!)
