Mission history
- Travel to a cache on Orkney Islands, where the owners ancestors operated a lighthouse.
I am part of the Meeple People Family, look out for my friends:
Mr (TB8X45R) and Mrs (TB8X45V) Meeple as they race each other around the world to get home first.
The Meta-game Meeples (TB8X45W) that are traveling to important board game related destinations. First up “Carcassonne”.
The Lost & Found Meeple (TB8X483) that is traveling to a cache in San Diego, USA in time to be reunited with its owner when he next travels there.
What are meeples?
Meeples are used in modern board games as player pieces. Usually each player has a different colour. Probably the most famous example is the game "Carcassonne" where each player deploys their meeples on the board to score points from different structures that they build throughout the game. Check it out on wikipedia if you are interested - Carcassonne is a great game, loved by families and focused gamers alike!
We love modern board games and we love geocaching. We have brought the two hobbies together in this trackable race. My trusty blue meeple will be representing me, whilst my wife will be represented by her colour of choice, the red meeple! Let's see who gets home first!
Please note: no actual Carcassonne meeples were harmed in the construction of these trackables....that would have left us with an incomplete set....
