Lí Ban - The Irish Merrow

Denne havfruen er en av firkløveret som kjenner hemmeligheten til havmannen (GC8TY7Z).

Hun liker å reise og bli droppet i nye cacher (ikke bare besøke dem). Hun foretrekker sterkt å bo i cacher innenfor området til sonene 1, 2V, 2Ø og 2S til Ruter (altså Oslo og omegn) slik at hun er i nærheten av mystery-cachen hun hører til.

Det er ikke nødvendig å beholde henne i lang tid f. eks. inntil du er i stand til å logge mystery-cachen, bare noter informasjonen og la henne reise videre, slik at andre også kan oppdage henne.

This mermaid is one of four who knows the secret of the merman (GC8TY7Z).

She likes to travel and be dropped off at new caches (not just visit them). She strongly prefers to stay in caches inside the area of Ruter's zones 1, 2V, 2Ø and 2S (Oslo and surroundings), so she is close by the mystery cache she is a part of.

There is also no need to keep on to her for a long time e.g. until you are able to log the mystery cache, just take a note of the information and let her travel on so others can encounter her too.

Lí Ban was the daughter of Eochaidh, King of Ulster. She and her pet dog were the only ones to survive when Eochaidh’s palace and lands were flooded, drowning all who lived there and forming the great body of water, known today as Lough Neagh. For a year she lived alone in a bower under the lough with only her dog for company. Then, in her loneliness, she prayed to the goddess Danu asking to be turned into a salmon so she might swim with the fish of the sea for company. Danu only half granted her wish. The little dog became an otter, and Lí Ban was turned into a mermaid. Lí Ban swam out of the lough, along a great river, and into the open sea and there she drifted for the next three hundred years fulfilling the prophecy: Liban will swim eastwards, westwards, hither, thither, over each sea.
