From Tennant creek back to Alice Springs.
Not much happening today apart from lots of driving. We were on the road by 7 am barreling down the highway. Stopped at the roadhouse by the UFO cache to grab some breakfast.
At midday stopped at the Red Centre farm to get a some Mango ice cream which was very yummy and some Mango wine to take home. Who would believe there would be a farm here out in this part of the country I only thought there were Cattle stations.
Then past an Aboriginal settlement with these 2 big statues a man with a spear on a hill and women and child below.
Made it into Alice by 2 Pm and took the easy option of booking into a resort. Very Nice. Out for a walk around the town and a couple of caches, then dusk at ANZAC Hill before going out for dinner.
The caching was a sad experience for us as we had to say good-bye to Skippy who has come such a long way with us.
Together we have traveled some 7000 kilometres.
"Hello and Goodbye" seemed an appropriate place to part.
I hope we have given a wonderfully tour of our beautiful country and if you come back send us an email through Geocaching.
Good Luck Skippy.
We changed the note to ask people to take him towards home.
Best wishes from the Parrots.
