This button was on its way to Dortmund, Germany to join other buttons in "Das Button-Grab" cache. However, now that Das Button-Grab is no longer available, we would like to have the button travel thoughout Europe seeking adventure and new friends.
This button is from my grandmother's 1882 wedding dress. Annie Alleman was married in 1882 to William Wengert in PA, USA. {Dies ist ein knopf vom Hochzeitkleide meiner Großmutter. Annie Alleman Wengert heiratete 1882 William Wengert in Pennsylvania, USA.} The Wengert family was originally from the Wengen alps in Switzerland, but moved to Germany to work on the farms there during the 100 years war.

Eigenartig! Wir sahen das Laminat mit dem Knopf heut in "Hansemuff" in Hamburg. Warum er dort nicht gelistet ist... keine Ahnung.
