About This Item

100_0150.JPG

Skinner started his teaching career at the University of Minnesota. He was on the faculty there from 1936 to 1945. It was while here his two daughters were born and where he designed his “baby tender”. This has led to the urban legend that because of this device that his younger daughter was seriously mentally ill and committed suicide. In fact, she is a successful artist and lives with her husband in London.

He also worked on Project Pigeon which he was working to train pigeon’s to guide bombs for the war effort. However, his project was nullified by a different top secret project he was unaware of, radar.

This travel bug’s goals are to go visit the University of Minnesota. Please photograph it in front of Burton hall with the building clearly in the background then send it back to the Chicagoland area where ClickChik can retrieve it.

what an adventure this TB has had to make it back to the hands of the owner. Since it was back in relatively close proximity, we set up a rescue team. MamaDuck retrieved it from one of Xyval's caches. Then, since they were heading on vacation, we had to find someone else to get it from them. Miss Amanda volunteered for that. Next chain of the relay was to get it to me. I met up with Amanda tonight after work to grab it. Next stop, the owners hands.

😎 [purple] Retrieved this TB with the intention of taking it to WI with me this weekend to get it closer to its goal. Looking at the logs, I now see I should keep it in the area! I will place it in another cache within the next few days - ClickChik, hopefully you'll be able to retrieve it this time! 😉 [/purple]
