    On our way through Belgium my wife and I made a stop-over at the town of Temse on river Scheldt. There we searched for the cache GCHCQF 'Buitenland aan de Schelde'. Though the owner had announced its dismantling, he hadn't disabled the cache yet. So I thought it would still be there. We really had a very fine walk, but although we found the stone mentioned in the additional hint, the cache wasn't there anymore. So we decided to take The Goofers' European Vacation Geocoin with us to Holland to have it visit two Dutch geocaching events. This Mid-Zomer Lopikerwaard Event near the village of Lopik is the first one!

    Today I attended my first Scottish geocaching event where I was given this beautiful 2006 Dutch geocoin. It wants to visit the town of Terneuzen so it´s in very good hands. For my wife, myself and our three dogs will be going on our way now to return home after a 6 weeks´ tour of Scotland in our RV. We´ll take the Dover-Dunkirk ferry and on our way north-east through France and Belgium I´ll drop in in some cache, problably one near Antwerp.
