About This Item

TB Front

Jason, lover of natures beauty, had his life cut short
in June of 2003. Visiting many beautiful places were in
his plans.
Not being able to venture far from his Santa Cruz, CA.
home, Jasons memory will travel with this travel bug to the many
beautiful places he dreamed of visiting. Wilderness and
natural areas being his favorite.
Hopefully you can take a digital photo of the bug in the
places you visit and add them to the bugs site, before
recaching it.
The silver dollar represents the year he died. I gave him
one every birthday. He didn't make it to his 25th birthday 2003.
This dollar was to be given to him. But now is a traveling
remembrance.
Im starting Jasons bug in Northern Utah where he was born. Hopefully it will
see many new places, as well as his favorites in California.

Have a nice trip Jason...Forever 24... your dad

I "discovered" this very old TB while searching on line for caches in Guam. What a wonderful story and I am soooo sorry that it is MIA. You might have said that Jason did not get to travel very far from home but cachers let him travel far and wide. What a great trackable and I am honored to have discovered such a great tribute. I would have loved to meet him.

I am sure he is greatly missed but his memory is still alive.

I discovered this wonderful TB while guiding a new caching family on their first caching expedition. We were quite moved by the story behind it.

Jason's bug has made it to the sunny beaches of Guam. I believe the family I was with will be posting a picture to show the warm and sunny place that this bug visited for a while.

Hopefully it will continue it's journeys for many, many years.

My deepest regards for your loss.
