To advocate a safer riding environment for motorcylists by travelling and spreading awareness to everyone about motorcycle safety and sharing the roadway with motorcyclists.
Do Not Keep This Coin, Please Keep It Moving!
This coin is being released (10/14/08 in Pittsburgh, PA) as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Bike Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. Tod was one third of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom. This coin is released in his memory and in memory of all motorcyclists killed on the road.
Thanks to Rockin Roddy for giving us the opportunity to help spread the word about Motorcycle Safety!

Update: We never thought that this would personally affect us, but Memorial Day Weekend 2009, my uncle was riding his motorcycle and was hit by a car that ran a red light. He lost his leg in the accident, but fortunately is recovering very well. We're thankful for the man who jumped out of his car and put his belt around my uncle's shattered leg as a tourniquet, or else he may have bled to death right there in the intersection.
