Current Goal

Russ is now trying to get back to his home cache - Tyndales Stump - which is near Wotton Under Edge in England in time for Christmas. Well he was, but he took so long we now live in North Yorkshire. His target now is to get to a cache somewhere in North Yorkshire - and we will go and pick him up.

About This Item

History of the journey

Russ is a kangaroo (Honest! His mother was frightened by a donkey). He never quite managed his first target of getting to America and then on to New Zealand - having narrowly avoided being being shredded by the farmer's plough(the fate of the cache where he started off), he got stuck. He eventually ended up in a nice cache called Land of the Giants where we picked him up from.

Having being given a wash and brush up (as he smelt like he'd being lurking in damp undergrowth) we've set him a new target. We'd like him to get to a cache on Vancouver Island, Canada, by July 2007 so we can go and pick him up. We don't mind where he goes in between times but it would be nice to see photos of his stop-offs.

Please be nice to him - he can't help the way he looks.

Back home at last - 10 years and 13600 mile later. And he is still in amazingly good condition. We will have to decide whether or not to give him a new task or to retire him gracefully.

One step closer to home! This travelbug is now in The Netherlands, but as I will be visiting the UK mid September, I will not drop it in a cache here but hold on to it until September and place it in a cache in the UK.
