About This Item

I recieved this cattle tag as part of my registration kit at the St Arnaud mega event in November 2019. It was a top mega; with lots of fun games, caches, lab cache; and a wonderful country town with lots of historical sites and lots of lovely people.

Tag is attached to a plush, dark pink squirrel.

G’Day My Fellow Geocaching Friends from around the World,

Today is the 10th April 2020 and I am currently on Lockdown due to the Corona Virus that is sweeping the world. I am using this time to go through the 1000,s of TB photos that are clogging up my phone.

PLEASE NOTE: IF I HAVE ALREADY DISCOVERED OUR TB OR IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR TB TO BE DISCOVERED I AM MORE THAN HAPPY FOR YOU TO JUST DELETE THE LOG. I HAVE SEEN YOUR TB EITHER ON FACEBOOK OR IN PERSON AT AN EVENT IN NSW, ACT OR VIC (AUSTRALIA) SOMETIME FROM 1ST DECEMBER 2019 TO 10TH APRIL 2020. ONCE AGAIN PLEASE DELETE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY LOG.

So Here is a little about me. My name is Daniel Newton aka DARKSIDEDAN and I am from Canberra, Australia. I currently have just over 7000 Finds and 500 Hides. I have three personal Pathtags and a collection of over 8000 Pathtags and 500 Extagz.

I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it. Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with 157 caches in one day it would be too hard to write a different one for each cache.

    Geocache Poem
    By DARKSIDEDAN

My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind

I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see

Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?

Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there

As time flies by and I fail to see,
    Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

Thanks for taking the time to put your TB out into the world.

    Best Wishes
    Daniel
