Continuing my theme of naming most of my trackables after songs, "A Penny for Your Thoughts" is a song originally recorded by Marion Jarvis in 1975 but became well known as the 1982 release by the group Tavares from their album "New Directions."  Written by Kenny Nolan (a successful singer-songwriter in his own right), Tavares' version became their 8th Top 40 hit in the U.S., peaking at #33 (#15 on the Adult Contemporary chart).  It also reached #17 in New Zealand, #45 in the Netherlands, and #60 in Australia.
