48 deg F perfect sunset under a cloudy sky
We are visiting from New Jersey and are returning to Vancouver from a Van-> Kamloops -> Banff -> Edmonton --> Valemont tout de cache.
we had a nice stroll after dinner and saw several dozen species of birds, mostly ducks. We hear a lonely loon and approached the cache in time to turn around and face the mountain range highlighted in the most glorious orange and reds with the sun setting in the west. The mountains were first slightly tinted in yellow and as the sun set they tips were turned amber and then crimson with jus the tops of the mountains highlighted in sun. It was a glorious display because most of the landscape was in dark greens and blues as the sky was nearly completely overcast.
By our return to the hotel the entire mountain range was in flame of colors.
