    The Slat Rat's Nov 06 Geocoin: #3 [B][Green]C[Brown]a[Green]c[Brown]h[Green]i[Brown]n[Green]g[Brown] I[Green]n[Brown] T[Green]h[Brown]e[Green] L[Brown]e[Green]a[Brown]v[Green]e[Brown]s[Black][/B] Geocoin came along with me on this landmark cache for me 😁 My 500th Cache 😁 I was caching on the Big Island with family and friends and we had a nice walk down a beautiful tree lined trail to an interesting spot hidden off the trail in a big patch of yellow ginger. You would never find this without a GPSr. I also spotted some beautiful Kahili Ginger in bloom, what a treat. I felt like the wicked witch as I searched for the cache 😮 I was lucky that Hansel and Gretel weren’t around 😉 We will be heading back to the Island of Oahu soon.

    The [B][Green]C[Brown]a[Green]c[Brown]h[Green]i[Brown]n[Green]g[Brown] I[Green]n[Brown] T[Green]h[Brown]e[Green] L[Brown]e[Green]a[Brown]v[Green]e[Brown]s[Black][/B] Geocoin went hiking on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the Wiliwilinui Ridge trail. This is an excellent, wide, well maintained trail to a peak on the summit of the Koolau ridge. There are great views along the trail.

This is a beautiful island that still lives in the past. This is how Hawaii was years ago. This cache is located in on a trail that goes along the mountain ridge from one end of the island to the other. The views along this trail were awesome.

    The [B][Green]C[Brown]a[Green]c[Brown]h[Green]i[Brown]n[Green]g[Brown] I[Green]n[Brown] T[Green]h[Brown]e[Green] L[Brown]e[Green]a[Brown]v[Green]e[Brown]s[Black][/B] Geocoin is back in Hawaii again. We went on a radical hike down steep slopes and crossing back and forth along the stream bed heading to the hidden waterfall at the end of the trail. Gotta love “Caching In The Leaves” in Hawaii.
