Welcome to the Chehalem Mountains American Viticultural Area. Established in 2006, the AVA is home to 53 wineries, 34 tasting rooms, 179 vineyards totalling 2,660 acres. The most common grape variety is Pinot noir, making up 69.89% of the total varieties. Pinot gris and Chardonnay are a distant second and third. One of the pioneering vineyards is so close to this cache that you wouldn't be able to place a new cache near the closest corner!
