I have to cut my trip to Lincoln short because another storm is blasting in - Storm Eunice. The trains tomorrow have been cancelled. Spent the day wandering all around Lincoln mopping up caches. You travelled to Nocton Heath area today to pick up some of the challenge caches in the area. Not very nice walking - a busy road, muddy verges, and slashed hawthorns than embedded themselves in my boots. Lucky I was wearing them and not my runners. Sunshine to start, windy and rainy in the middle, strong winds, flying debris, and torrential rain walking back up the hill in Lincoln. Storm Dudley had arrived.🌪

Since I can’t ski while I wait for my knee to mend, and the weather in the UK is pretty dire this week, we zipped up to lovely Lincoln. With the completion of the central spire in 1311, the spectacular Cathedral overtook the Great Pyramid of Giza as the tallest building in the world. The Pyramid had held that honour for 4,000 years. 🚆

PilotDan has arrived from Australia so we met up at Greenwich. He really wanted to see the Royal Observatory but it was closed for refurbishment. Found the Prime Meridian and where our GPS said was 000 00.000. You visited the Royal Maritime Museum and then settled into a cosy pub. ⚓️

I took you to Parents’ Quiz Night at school. School Hall is also where “The Greaze” is held every Shrove Tuesday. You can Google that. Our team came a very respectable 4th. I did well with questions about Kangaroos, the Piña Colada song, and Brendan Fraser. You did not help me with Jarlsberg cheese, british politicians, or Tiger Woods. 👩🏫
