I've been dropped near my owner's 1st cache but now I'm a lone wanderer, I just want to get as far as possible from my last location!
My first cache was called Saúde – prevenir ou remediar? and was found at 03/Jul/2014. It was a traditional cache, made in a very simple container, made with a PET juice bottle that looked like an apple, hanging on the branch of a tree. The logbook was wet and the cache had that used aspect, screaming for maintenance. It's archived nowadays.
The story wasn't very appealing and the place also not the most beautiful, but, somehow I remember that 1st find as if it was today. I don't remember why I started doing geocaching but I remember that on that day me and my younger brother started one of the most magical experiences that we had/have together.
I think that this is the main purpouse of the game, yes, you find amazing places playing it, super creative geocaches that make you think "how didn't I remember to do something like this?" or "how the hell did he did this?", but at the end of the day, it's magical because it brings people together and when those are the right people, it doesn't matter the place or the container, what matters is the experience.
It all started with me and my brother, then we made a team, then we separated, but 8 years and 176 finds later, it's still me and my brother and that's what matters.
