By the way, the professor who taught the FORTRAN class I took at the University of Washington insisted that we all use punched cards for our programs. That turned out to be a very good idea, as I became quite good at error-free typing back then. Now that I edit programs on a screen, my typing skills have significantly deteriorated. 😟
