The Ironman Turtle TB's mission in life is to ultimately attend the Ironman in Honolulu, as well as to attend as many other Triathlons as possible along the way.

He began his life as a gift from a friend of mine. As I was training for the open water swim portion of my own triathlons this year, the irrational fear that snapping turtles in the lake would chomp off my toes as I swam by overtook me. I shared this fear with a friend, who gave me a small turtle charm. This seemed like a rather mocking gift until he explained to me that in Native American folklore, the turtle symbolizes enduring friendship-so I shouldn't be afraid of snapping turtles because they were my friends. And so, the turtle has come to symbolize not only enduring friendship, but also my new mantra of "No Fear." The Ironman Turtle accompanied me on the Fleet Feet SuperSprint Triathlon in Chicago, and would now like to move on to bigger and better things. Good luck, buddy!
