Froggy surprise was in very poor condition. I have rescued FroggyBunny from the cache. FroggyBunny is currently going thru the froggybunny wash. Once he's all cleaned up, I will find him a new home.

OK, we traveled to an ancient Hohokam canal in Mesa AZ and then we moved on to Hunt's tomb. I tried to provide a little info on these 2 historic sites. I hope Froggybunny enjoys his next journey.

Park of the Canals: 
In 1878, Mesa was founded by Mormon pioneers. Upon exploration, they discovered the Hohokam's abandoned canals, parts of which they used to develop their own irrigation system. Evidence of the canals can be seen today at the 31-acre "Park of the Canals." This is one of the only areas where the remains of the prehistoric canals can be easily observed.   • Governor Hunt's tomb Hunt's Tomb is the tomb of the late George W. P. Hunt, (1859-1934) who was Arizona's first governor, and served a record seven terms. It is a small white pyramid behind a fence at the top of a hill within Papago Park, a municipal park in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hunt had the tomb built in 1931 to house his wife. He was placed there after his death in 1934. Their daughter and his wife's family are also buried there.
