Retrieve It from a Cache 2/14/2008 Tiddler from Tad retrieved it from Tadcaster 1 Bonus United Kingdom   Visit Log

Found the Tadcaster Bonus 1 cache quite easily, but the container was half full of water and all the contents (apart from the log) were soaked. I was aware the cache contained King the Kingfisher TB but hadn't originally planned on taking it. However, it was in such a bad state (chain rusting, wet through and stained), I decided to take the poor thing home to give it some tender loving care before returning it to the wild. I hope to find it another waterside location soon.

  • King in a sorry state King's chain is rusting, he/she is wet through and stained.
Time for a little TLC before returning to the wild.

Up at the north end of the Lancaster Canal in Kendal we picked up King the Kingfisher, and it seemed very appropriate to leave him by the same canal at the south end of the cut-off section.
