I just want to celebrate!
This is my International Geocaching Day (IGD) Community Celebration Event (CCE) barbecue (BBQ) nano charm.
I won it in the lucky draw at the Int'l GC Day 2022 Comm Celebration BBQ event cache, and that was truly the cherry on top of the cake that this even already was.
A bit of backstory: Back in June 2022, during the It's Been a Long Time event, my first event cache in Singapore, I mentioned that I was looking for a cache whose name ended in the letter Q, in order to qualify for the Défi ABC - Soupe à l'alphabet (Remix) challenge cache in Montréal. I think this inspired one of the local geocachers to use his Community Celebration event to organise a BBQ on International Geocaching Day, allowing me to finally qualify for this challenge!
The event itself was my 50th find in Singapore, after a week in which I had 7 deadlines.
So yeah, the event itself, qualifying for the challenge, managing to make all those deadlines, finding my 50th cache in Singapore, winning this trackable... all good reasons for celebration!
I will therefore not send this trackable out into the world, but keep it with me, as a reminder to stop and celebrate life every now and then, ideally with other geocachers!
