About This Item

This small gold pin represents the turtles that are found in Costa Rica during nesting time. I was born on Playa Grande Beach a great place to visit and work with the turtles. I have a mate that my owner ware's. Keep me swimming and visting people on land. A picutre often would be great. Check out world-turtle-trust.org You my email my owner question as she has been on a Leatherback turtle project where she got to measure and collect eggs and then put then in a nursery areafor hatching. Great fun.

I found this in Maui Hawaii & brought it back to the Eastern continental US, in the state of North Carolina. Got it over the 20,000 mile mark, this one has really travelled!
I was scheduled to take a trip to Alberta Canada last week, so was going to take it for that many more miles. However, I didn’t go on the trip. I’ve held onto the tracker for a month now so it needs to swim on.. there is a pond here w turtles, but not sea turtles of course. The NC coast is close though. Reminder, for everyone in every place, to care of all our wildlife though! Happy journeys!
