There is a certain beauty inherent in high places, even if there are higher places to go. This was the roof of my apartment in Shanghai, a paltry 35 stories overlooking the ever expanding Shanghai skyline. Of course this is just the most famous view in Shanghai, in reality the skyline continues far beyond what the human eye can see.
Regardless, this was the best place to be in Shanghai, a place to escape the mayhem on the streets and relax with a Tsingtao and my backpacking guitar.
