Before dropping this in GCXTPE I took a photo of the coin at the Pacific Ocean. Photo taken at 3:08pm on July 2nd 2007 at N 48 deg. 19.788, W 124 deg. 39.513 (according to the GPS waypoint I stored). GCXTPE was the nearest cache and is very near the Pacific Ocean, but technically is on the Straits of Juan De Fuca. Since the geocoin was trying to get from coast to coast (starting in N Carolina), TrueRed06 and I first drove across the Makah Indian Reservation to the Pacific Ocean and took a photo.

    • 7/2/2007 Nickell Geocoin reaches the Pacific Ocean Photo taken at 3:08pm on July 2nd 2007 at N 48 deg. 19.788, W 124 deg. 39.513 (according to the GPS waypoint I stored). There was not a cache nearby on the Pacific Ocean (it is extremely remote out here) so I drove across the Makah Indian Reservation to the Pacific Ocean and took this photo. That is Cape Flattery in the background so the view is looking in a generally NW direction. Next stop is GCXTPE where I dropped this geocoin.
    • Front of Coin Thought there should be a close up of the front of the coin (with serial number oliterated, of course).
    • Close up of Back of Coin Thought there should also be a close up of the back of this beautiful coin.

Very interesting double coin and is close to the coast as in the Northwest. Will find a spot to see if someone can get it to the coast for a picture.👍MtnMutt
