Sandy Sea Duck is doing much better now that is out of the very HOT desert. She can see the beach and was swimming with her cousins at Bubbling Springer. She is off to Korea in the morning for a week of sightseeing and will return to continue her travels here in the states.

I don't know if ducks sweat but this one sure had the chance in Motown Three. It had been 110 degrees F the day of pickup. I want to move this bug along to the next state however, Sandy may have to go to Korea with me to see some more of the world. If so it will only be to log a stop then back to Ventura, CA and on the the rest of the US.

Sorry no photo. It was night time and a pretty bleak place, but close enough to a new state border for Sandy to continue its travels. Bon voyage, Sandy!

12:30 p.m. We almost hated to move Sandy away from the best cache site we've ever been to. Thanks bennet, for bringing the duck to such a soaring place (in Colorado). Now that it's frozen its tailfeathers in high places and wind, it's time for some sunglasses and sunscreen territory. Stay tuned to where Sandy goes next.

  • Shari with Sandy at 13068 feet Shari and Mike found this WAY up high. Next cache will be LOW altitude. Sandy loved the view, which couldn't be beat. Even though Sandy could swim in the glacial ponds, we got out of there before the afternoon thunderstorm.
